Bob Toppe directs Garnet’s prime consumer loan sale advisory business. Bob brings over 25 years of consumer and mortgage finance experience to Garnet Capital. Prior to joining Garnet in 2008, he served 6 years at Lehman Brothers. At Lehman, he acted as loan sale advisor, traded as a principal, and securitized a variety of performing and nonperforming mortgage and consumer loans. Bob was also intimately involved with Lehman’s student-loan origination platform, including capital markets, risk management, product development, pricing, credit and business development. Previously, he co-founded and managed the loan sale advisory business of Cohane Rafferty, from 1989 until Cohane was acquired by Lehman in 2002. Bob has been directly responsible as lead banker for hundreds of loan portfolio transactions. Bob joined Garnet in 2009.
